Teenagers arrested after Bessbrook car thefts

Police in Bessbrook have arrested two males whilst on anti-burglary patrol.

Whilst on patrol during the early hours of Tuesday, 8th October, officers discovered a car which had been broken into in the Cambrook Estate.

Whilst making enquiries in relation to this, officers spoke to two men in the vicinity and took their details.

A short time later, around 2am, police received a report of two men acting suspiciously in the Quarter Road area of Camlough. The two men were again located by officers and found with stolen property (car stereos) in their possession.

The two men, aged 18 years old, were arrested for theft and criminal damage. One of the males was further arrested for possession of Class A drugs and possession of a blade. Both are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
