Police charge man, 50, with car theft

Police in Newry have charged a 50 year old man with handling property stolen in the Republic of Ireland.

The charge relates to an incident on the Belfast Road on Monday morning, 30th September, when officers stopped a car which was alerted as stolen in the Republic of Ireland.

The man will appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on 23rd October.

As is normal procedure the charge will be reviewed by the PPS.
