Two teenagers charged with Newry burglaries

Police in Newry have charged two men with burglary offences. Two men were arrested following reports of burglary and attempted burglary in Church Avenue on Saturday, 14th September. They were apprehended close by. A 15 year old male was charged with attempted burglary and going equipped for burglary in relation to the incidents at Church Avenue and appeared before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 16th September. A 13 year old male was charged with burglary in relation to an incident at Ardaveen Drive on Friday, 13th September and attempted burglary in Church Avenue on Saturday, 14th September. He will appear before Newry Youth Court on Wednesday, 9th October. As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
