Charity issue free course for local people with depression in Newry

Local charity Aware Defeat Depression is now offering a free course to anyone in Newry living with mild to moderate depression.

The programme, called ‘Living Life to The Full’, is a life skills programme with a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach.

The course will run for two hours every Friday for 6 weeks starting on 18th October in Newry Library at 10am.

Education and Training Manager for Aware Defeat Depression, Andrea Kearns said, “The Living Life to The Full programme can help you sleep better, feel happier, have more energy, gain confidence, get out more and enjoy better relationships.

“I would encourage anyone with mild to moderate depression, or who cares for someone with depression to apply for this course which has been described as ‘life changing’ by many who take part.”

For more information on how to apply call Carole Coupe at the Aware Defeat Depression office on 028 9035 7820 or call her on carole@aware-ni.org.
