Police call for witnesses to Monaghan Street flag vandals

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an incident in Monaghan Street.

The incident happened on Monaghan Street

Around 5.20am on Friday, 30th August, a group of young people, who were dressed formally, ripped down a number of signs and flags which had been erected for the Pride in Newry event in the city on Saturday, 31st August.

Police are currently viewing CCTV images and are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000.
