Rogers congratulates A-level students, families and teachers
SDLP Education spokesperson Seán Rogers has congratulated A-level students as they get their results but urged anyone who might be disappointed to seek advice and support.
“It is a great day of celebration for A-level students who are receiving their results today,” the SDLP MLA said.
“It is a time of great excitement and hope for many who are now going to embark on new ventures, whether that is university, further study or training or entering the workforce.
“A considerable amount of the achievement also lies with the teachers who invest so much time and effort in their students and parents and families who support the students during the stressful exam periods and beyond.
“For any students who did not receive the results they needed or expected to allow them to pursue their chosen options, I would urge them to speak to their Careers Teacher and seek advice and support.
Rogers added, “There may be similar courses available at different institutions or other options that students may not have yet considered. It can be a very distressing time if students are disappointed, so it is essential that they are reassured that there are options out there for them.”
