The prestigious event is held every 3 years, with this year being the biggest to date. Over 3,000 students competed in a range of events from over 30 different countries. 15 competitors from Silverbridge headed to Coventry, England to represent Ireland and take on the world’s best. This was the first time Silverbridge TKD competed at an event of this calibre and came home with 3 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze along with even more confidence and heightened team spirit. The success at this event represents a huge achievement and great honour for the small rural club based in South Armagh. Each competitor was guided through each round by their dedicated coach and founder of Silverbridge Tae Kwon Do, Cathal Fegan.
