Sinn Féin MLA Caitriona Ruane has congratulated Burren GAA on winning the Feile Peile na nOg in Derry recently. Speaking to Newry Times this week, Ruane said, “Feile Peile na nOg is the biggest youth competition in the GAA and as well as teams from all over Ireland there are teams from Canada, USA and Britain represented. “It is a magnificent achievement for Burren to win the title amidst so much competition and is testament to the team, the management and the parents of the boys that they have competed to such a high level. “This competition which saw over 5000 young people take part is an example of the good work that the GAA carry out on a daily basis within the community. Ruane added, “I congratulate Burren and wish them well in representing their club and Co. Down in future competitions.”
