Police probe Warrenpoint arson attack

Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information following a suspected arson attack at the rear of a property in the Rossmara Park area in the early hours of Friday 28th June. Shortly after 2.30am police received a report that an oil tank and an old sofa had been set alight to the rear of the property causing damage to windows, guttering and facia boards to the house and superficial damage to neighbouring properties. NIFRS personnel attended the scene to extinguish the fire. Police would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact them in Warrenpoint on 0845 600 8000.
