A 73 year old man from Rostrevor has been jailed for 20 years for a mixture of 40 historical sexual abuse offences. Pensioner James Hutchinson appeared at Newry Crown Court this week to stand trial for offences carried out three decades ago. The offences included a mixture of rapes, attempted buggeries and indecent assaults. The court found the local man guilty of the sex offences, which were carried out between 1980 and 1985 on two female children in the Newry area. The two young victims were aged between 6 and 11 years old at the time.
