Police probe Forkhill burglary

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following an armed robbery of commercial premises in the Forkhill Road area of Newry. Police received a report at approximately 8.50pm on Tuesday, 25th June that an unknown male, holding a knife, had entered the premises. He then made off with a sum of money. The male assistant was not injured however he was left very badly shaken. Police would ask anyone who may have noticed a dark convertible vehicle in the area or who has any information to contact Detectives at Newry on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
