Sinn Fein MLA Megan Fearon has congratulated all those involved in the Tourism Board accolade recently secured by Slieve Gullion Play Park. “The development of the attractions at Slieve Gullion has been a major success story for South Armagh,” Fearon enthused. “The forest trails, play facilities, coffee shop and beautiful scenery has made a massive contribution to both tourism and local recreational activity over the past year and I believe this will continue. “Living in the shadow of Slieve Gullion I am a regular visitor to the forest park and every time I am there I see huge numbers of families enjoying the amenities there. There is a fantastic vibe about the whole area and everyone who has played a part in its success is to be commended. Fearon added, “I am delighted that the jewels of South Armagh are beginning to be discovered by a wider audience and I hope that this award is followed by many others.”
