Masked men in Newry claw hammer incident

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an incident at Windsor Manor.

Around 11.55pm on Tuesday, 4th June, three masked males approached a house and attempted to force entry through the front door. One of the males had a claw hammer in his possession.

A window was also smashed before the males made off in a car. A 42 year old man was later arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon. He was released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
