Man suffers broken jaw in late night Newry assault

Police in Newry are appealing for information following the report of a serious assault in the Monaghan Street area in the early hours of Monday 6th May. It was reported that at around 1.30am a man was approached by an unknown male and struck in the face. The man later attended hospital and was treated for a broken jaw. Police would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact them in Ardmore on 0845 600 8000.
