Police seek man with ‘V haircut’ in connection with Newry bottling assault

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault during the early hours of Sunday, 28th April.

Around 3am a man was assaulted by five men with bottles outside takeaway premises on Monaghan Street when his friend attempted to intervene. This 30 year old man was then assaulted and sustained injuries to his face and head.

One of the assailants is described as being 5ft 7in tall, of medium build and had dark hair, cut in a V style. He was wearing beige chinos and a blue jacket with white sleeves.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact them at Ardmore Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
