McGinn calls for vigilance after Bessbrook incidents

Fews area Sinn Fein Councillor Pat McGinn has said that a recent spate of vandalism and theft attempts in the vicinity of Mill Road, High Street, Bessbrook has caused great concern.

Speaking to Newry Times, Councillor McGinn explained, “Vandals deliberately damaged property and vehicles within the Industrial Estate on the Mill Road and the local hurling club was also broken into.

“Whilst I am not sure if the two incidents are related, I am urging people in the vicinity to be vigilant.

“This local business and the hurling club are both serving the community and those engaged in mindless vandalism and theft attempts care nothing about community or workers”.

McGinn also urged anyone who observes any type of suspicious or anti social activities in the area to report it to the PSNI immediately
