Bessbrook locals to remember PJ

The family of Bessbrook man PJ McAuley are holding a pool competition in his memory.

The event will start at 5pm in Dan’s Bar on the Green Road this Saturday, 6th April.

PJ was a very well respected and popular figure in the Newry and Bessbrook area and his daughter Kelly has asked that people come out to raise much needed funds for ‘The Friends of Daisy Hill Hospital.’

Kelly spoke to Newry Times and stated, “This is now the second year we have held this pool competition as daddy loved pool, all the money raised will go to ‘The Friends of Daisy Hill Hospital’ which is a fantastic charity as all of us from the area rely on the hospital one way or another.”
