Police uncover £6500 of cannabis during searches

Police have arrested a man following the seizure of more than £6500 of illegal drugs.

Officers conducted planned searches in the Kilkeel and Cranfield areas on Thursday, 28th March and seized cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £6500, a small quantity of herbal cannabis, a quantity of suspected Ecstasy and a sum of cash.

A 43 year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs and possession with intent to supply.

He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
