Alice in Wonderland adds enchantment to Buttercrane this Easter
Come follow Alice in Wonderland and friends who’ll be stepping through the looking glass and into a world of fashion and wonderment at Buttercrane Centre, Newry, this Easter, where Easter family-friendly activities will commence from as early as Saturday 23rd March.

From 12noon to 4pm on Saturday 23rd March children will be able to make their own cute Easter Chick 3D fridge magnets to take home.
Buttercrane has arranged for Jumping Clay in Warrenpoint to provide free kids craft workshops to make the items, which are suitable for children from three years upwards, to take part in.
Peter Murray, Buttercrane Centre Manager explained, “With each workshop taking only 20 minutes to complete it is a fun way to keep children amused during your Easter shop plus kids get to take their masterpiece home to show the rest of the family and help get everyone in the Easter mood.
“We are running the workshops on the hour and on the half hour from 12noon, with the last workshop commencing at 3.30pm, to allow as many children as possible the opportunity to take part. There is a maximum of twenty that can be accommodated at any one session.
On Easter Saturday (30th March), you can then come join Alice in Wonderland and her friends – including the Easter Bunny, of course – in Buttercrane from 12noon to 4pm as they hunt the Centre’s 50+ shop windows for the Mad Hatter!
Each cunning treasure hunter who finds the Mad Hatter in six mystery shop windows will be rewarded with a crème egg. Alice will be delighted to assist anyone who needs a point in the right direction.
To take part, collect an entry form for the themed Easter hunt from the Customer Service Desk when you are in Buttercrane. Plus, there will also be free face painting available for children throughout the afternoon…so you can even look for the Mad Hatter under the cover of a disguise if you wish.
Lastly, on Easter Monday (1st April) there’ll be face painting provided to keep the kids amused from 12 – 4pm.
