McDonald congratulates local acts on Scór Sinsear semi-final success

Sinn Féin Deputy Mayor Packie McDonald has congratulated County Armagh on their wonderful performance and great achievement in the Ulster Scór Sinsear semi-final, which took place in Monaghan.

Four acts have successfully qualified for the Ulster Scór Sinsear final, which takes place in Derry on the 6th April. These are Killeavy Ceili dancers, Dromintee instrumental musicians, Sarsfield GAA club novelty act and finally Carrickcruppen solo singing act, Maeve Morgan.

Speaking to Newry Times, Councillor McDonald said, “This is a great competition, and County Armagh has performed really well, with four different acts successfully making it through to the final that takes place in the City of Culture Derry on the 6th April.

“I was particularly proud to hear that the Dromintee instrumental musicians have qualified for the final as this is my own area.

He added, “I would encourage everyone to get behind them and rally support for these acts in the final. I wish them all the best of luck.”
