Rostrevor incident prompts police investigation

Police in Kilkeel are appealing for information following an incident in Cherry Hill, Rostrevor.

Around 7pm on Thursday, 28th February, an unknown man called to the door of a house and entered the property uninvited. He left at the request of the householder. The man claimed to be looking for number 400 which doesn’t exist.

The man caller is described as being between 18 and 20 years old, approximately 5ft 11in tall with light brown hair which was short at the sides, longer on top and brushed forward. He spoke with a Southern Irish accent.

Police in Kilkeel are keen to speak to anyone who noticed the male in the area or has information in relation to this incident.

They would also encourage local residents to report any suspicious or untoward activity in the area. Police can be contacted on 0845 600 8000.
