Community, What's On
Newry Parish Centre would like to invite parishioners and people from the greater Newry area to an open event to view the facilities available at the new Newry Conference and Banqueting Centre on the Mall.

Canon Francis Brown

The new centre adjacent to the existing Parish Centre on the Mall in the centre of the city has facilities which include a fully equipped kitchen for catering and a range of different sized rooms. The spaces are now available to hire for events, dinners, meetings or special occasions. With views overlooking the canal from a number of rooms and state of the art facilities it is hoped the Centre will become one of the premier venues in Newry for hosting events. Canon Francis Brown said, “We now have a facility in the heart of our city which can be used for many different events and occasions which are in keeping with the ethos of the centre. “We have already hosted celebrations, conferences and meetings in the facilities and we hope to open this out to the wider community and indeed the corporate market. With the exceptional kitchen facilities there is scope for many different functions from small weddings, christenings or funerals to private dining or coffee mornings. Canon Brown added, “We will be shortly launching a website dedicated to the facility which will allow for online bookings. We really hope that as many people as possible will come to view the facilities this weekend which will be laid out in different styles so you can see how the rooms would look for events. “All are welcome to drop in and view the new centre after weekend masses in the Cathedral.” The Centre will be open for viewing after Masses on the weekend of 23rd and 24th February from 7pm until 9pm on Saturday 23rd February and from 10am until 1.30pm on Sunday 24th February. All are welcome.
