Murphy welcomes improvements to St Rita’s Park

Crotlieve Sinn Féin Councillor Mick Murphy has welcomed the new railing and tarmacked area behind houses at St Rita’s Park in Rostrevor.

Speaking to Newry Times, Murphy said the area was previously overgrown and it was very difficult for householders to access the rear of their properties.

“After meeting them to discuss the problem I made a number of representations to the Housing Executive to have action taken and I am delighted to say the work was completed last week.

He added, “The railing now separates the area from the adjoining property and the tarmacking allows easy access to the rear of their houses.

“I’d like to thank the Housing Executive for responding to my representations and for the excellent job they have done.”
