Brady welcomes St Patrick’s Primary School to Stormont
Newry and Armagh Sinn Féin MLA Mickey Brady has welcomed pupils and staff from St Patrick’s Primary School in Newry to Stormont recently. The pupils were taken on a tour of the building and were shown a power-point presentation.
Speaking about the visit to Newry Times, Mr Brady commented, “It is great to see local school children visiting Parliament Buildings and showing an interest in the work that goes on in Stormont.
“I was able to host a short question and answer session with the pupils, which was very enjoyable.
“Mr Mackin, the school principal is doing an extremely good job and the pupils are a credit to the staff and parents alike. The staff of the school has been instrumental in educating the children about the workings of the power sharing government here in the north.
Brady added, “During the visit we were able to arrange for the Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness to take time out of his busy schedule to meet with the pupils and have a chat.
“I look forward to the next visit and engaging with the young people who are our future.”
