Police call for witnesses to late night Newry assault
Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in the city.
Around 11.30pm on Thursday, 6th December, a 38 year old man was attacked approaching a tunnel in Lower Water Street carpark.Three males approached him and one of them punched the victim in the face. The victim sustained a cut to his face and bruising.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or has information in relation to this incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000. If you prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
