Policing and Community Safety Youth Competition launched

Newry and Mourne Mayor Councillor John McArdle has launched the Youth Competition at an event attended by School Principals from across the district.

The event was also supported by the main sponsors of the event, the PEACE III Partnership, National Farmers Union and OFMDFM. The competition is open to all young people living in or going to school in the district.

You are asked to design a ‘story board’ via 6 scenes with accompanying strap-lines. The story boards should be capable of being made into a film clip as the winning story board in each category will be filmed.

Primary age categories:

Racism– your neighbour, your friends

Road Safety

Rural Crime – protecting your farm

Post Primary age categories:

Racism – your neighbour, your friends

Anti Social Behaviour – what it means to you

Rural Crime – protecting your farm

Entries should be submitted by Friday 18th January 2013 to the PCSP, Monaghan Court Business Park, Monaghan Street, Newry BT35 6BH.
