Community, What's On
If one of your new year’s resolutions is to read more then the new book club which meets monthly at Grounded Slieve Gullion could be just the thing for you. The newly formed book club meets on the third Saturday of each month at 10.30am at Grounded Slieve Gullion Coffee Shop. The first book up for discussion on Saturday 19th January is entitled “This book will save your life” by AM Homes and described by the Irish Times Online as ” a witty, well-written, very clever satire on life in Los Angeles’. Copies can be purchased online, in local bookshops or ordered via Newry library. Emma McQuaid, organiser of the book club says that the club is a chance for people to get together and enjoy a good debate, sharing their likes and dislikes about a wide range of books. She confirmed that the atmosphere will be informal so all group members will be able to participate and also help form the reading list over the next few months. New members are always welcome and feel free to come and join in on Saturday 19th January at 10.30am. For further information, please contact
