Sinn Fein councillor Colman Burns has congratulated Sabina Reel from Silverbridge on receiving yet another award for her contribution to volunteering. Speaking to Newry Times, Councillor Burns said it was a well deserved award for a very popular lady. “Sabina has been to the forefront in volunteering and has given her services to the community for many years. Sabina decided to dedicate her life to volunteering after she was very sick in hospital. “She said that, when she recovered, she would dedicate her life to helping others. That was over thirty years ago and still she continues to give her services to the community today.” The councillor added, “Sabina is a great example and inspiration to others. She has touched the hearts of many people and is thoroughly deserving of all the awards that she gets. “She is a great ambassador for the district and I hope she continues to be rewarded for her sterling work.”
