Armed robbery at Dublin Road service station

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a service station on the Dublin Road in Newry.

At around 9.40pm yesterday, Thursday, 6th December, three masked men entered the premises. One of the males had a firearm in his possession and the two others carried hatchets.

The men demanded the tills be opened and made off in a car with a sum of cash. Police say all three men were wearing gloves and dressed in dark clothing. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information in relation to it to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000.
