Young American woman with South Armagh connections remembered

The news of the sudden death of 28 year old Samantha Boyle in New York City on the 8th of September this year caused great sadness in the Camlough and south Armagh area.

The young American woman had family and friends here in Ireland, and many travelled to St Marys Church Bethel Connecticut USA to attend her funeral Mass and burial.

Samantha’s grandfather was the late Stephen Boyle of the respected Boyle family from Camlough and her late grandmother Alicia was a member of the well known Rafferty family from the Forkhill area.

Her Uncle Stephen tragically died some years ago as a result of a motor vehicle accident on the Millvale Road near Bessbrook. Samantha’s family have been regular and welcome visitors to the Camlough area.

Samantha Boyle, who had the great gifts of an infectious laughter, vibrant personality and spark for life, will on this Thursday night (29th November) be remembered at a Mass in the Cuan Mhuire Centre on the Dublin Road.

The Mass will be attended by her father Michael and her sister Sarah, both of whom have travelled over from their home in Connecticut USA for the occasion. It will commence at 7-30. All are welcome to attend.
