Curran calls for pedestrian right of way upgrade
Sinn Féin councillor Brendan Curran at a recent meeting in the Meadow has called on the council to urgently upgrade the pedestrian right of way between Killeavy Road and Edward Street.
Speaking to Newry Times, Councillor Curran explained,
“The pedestrian right of way between Killeavy Road and Edward Street is a well used shortcut for people walking from the Meadow to the centre of Newry, and it is currently in a deplorable state.
“I am calling on the council to upgrade this path immediately and not leave it until the new leisure centre is completed.”
