McKevitt visits Headway Newry
SDLP South Down MLA Karen McKevitt visited brain injury association Headway in Newry to support their good work.
Speaking to Newry Times she said: “No matter how good a health service we might have, we will always need the dedication of those carers and survivors who volunteer their time and expertise to provide information, support and social activities for people living with brain injury.”
Headway works closely with the local community policing team. Karen was present when Headway congratulated Constable Mary Marner on her coming second in Police Officer of the Year E District.
Karen has invited the Headway team to join her in Stormont on Monday 3rd December.
