Community, What's On
The man in the big red suit is on his way to Newry for a second year in a row and has arrived at his home Gina’s Christmas Cottage on the Sheeptown Road. The Christmas Cottage, which was opened last year in memory of the beloved Georgina Boyd by her family, raised a total of £10,905 for The Southern Area Hospice Services in 2011 and this year promises to be even more successful with your help! Bring the kids along to meet Santa and receive their very own gift while Santa’s Little Helpers treat you to tea and refreshments in the tranquil setting of Sheeptown Road. Gina’s Cottage will be opening its doors on Thursday 15th November and will remain open between Thursday – Sunday for six weeks until Sunday 23rd December just in time for Santa to leave for his whirlwind trip on Christmas Eve. If you would like to book a visit to Gina’s Cottage bookings can be made at the following number: 07926 975 510. Please note that due to high demand booking is essential and payment can only be made in cash upon arrival to the cottage. The booking line is now open and the cost of entry is £8 per child and £5 per adult, with children under the age of 1 year being admitted for free. The Boyd Family would like to thank to all of the sponsors who have contributed to Gina’s Cottage this year and they also ask anyone else who would like to support this year’s campaign to contact The Southern Area Hospice Services at their earliest convenience. Don’t miss the magical experience of meeting Santa in Gina’s Christmas Cottage this year which will help raise vital funds for The Southern Area Hospice Services.
