Buttercrane launch of ‘Match for Michaela’

John McAreavey along with Ulster Manager Joe Kernan and GAA stars from Armagh and Down will be launching the Match for Michaela – a Festival with Football, in the Buttercrane Shopping Centre (just outside JD Sports) on Saturday 20th October at 11am.

‘Match for Michaela – a festival with football’ will take place on Saturday 3rd November 2012 from 6pm to 10pm in the grounds of Casement Park, in Belfast.

It will be compered by one of Ireland’s greatest DJs/Comics – Hector Ó hEochagáin, and will include performances from X Factor Star Janet Devlin, the electric More Power to your Elbow and many surprises along the way.

The highlight of the event will be a special one-off match which will see All Ireland Champions Donegal take on Ulster in a competitive game. The festival is expected to attract thousands of people from across the island of Ireland. All money raised will go to the Michaela Foundation.

The launch in Buttercrane Shopping Centre will be an opportunity to raise awareness of the event to the people of Newry. Tickets will be available in the Buttercrane on Saturday and are priced £10 for adults and £5 for children.
