Dundalk Institute of Technology Open Day

Following the success of the 2-day event last year, Dundalk Institute of Technology will once again be holding their Open Day over two days – Friday, 26th and Saturday, 27th October.

This is the ideal opportunity for people to find out information in relation to the various Degree Programmes which are on offer in DkIT. As it’s the Bank Holiday weekend the College is expecting larger numbers to attend than ever before.

The Friday Open Day is an ideal opportunity for A-Level students, as well as all prospective students, parents, teachers and guidance counsellors to visit the Institute.  They can discover more about going to college, immerse themselves in campus life, meet lecturers and current students, and find out more about what programmes are on offer and the facilities which exist in DkIT.

The event is packed full of activities so it is recommended that people come early to get the most from their visit. The day will run from 9.00am to 3.00pm with registration taking place in the PJ Carroll’s Building.

The Saturday Open Information Morning will take place from 10.00am to 1.00pm and is targeted towards mature students, people thinking of returning to education and/or prospective second level students and family members who are unable to attend the Friday Open Day.

The open morning will consist of a series of talks, tours of the campus, course information sessions and an opportunity to meet lecturing staff. Talks start at 10.00am, 11.00am and 12.00noon in the Whitaker Lecture Theatre.

Dundalk Institute of Technology, which is only 15 minutes from Newry offers Degree, Masters and Postgraduate Courses in a variety of areas including Business, Arts & Humanities, Construction, Engineering, Nursing, Health, Science, Hospitality, Computing, Music, Video and Film, and Creative Multimedia.
