Derrybeg attempted burglary prompts police investigation

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an attempted burglary in the First Avenue area of Derrybeg, Newry.

Around 1.20am on Thursday, 30th August, entry was gained to a house and a window smashed.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000.

Police would remind householders to ensure their homes and any outbuildings, including garages and sheds, are properly locked and secured. They would also ask neighbours to be vigilant and report any suspicious or criminal activity in their area to police immediately.
