Meigh assault prompts police investigation

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in the Chapel Road area of Meigh. Around 7.10am on Tuesday morning, 28th August, a 19 year old male was assaulted by four males who pulled up in a car. The male sustained extensive bruising and required medical treatment. Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault, or noticed an old style silver coloured Volkswagen Passat car in the area around this time, to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
