One injured after Drumalane house shooting

A late night shooting in Newry has left one man injured after a gunman fired a shot into the front room of a house in the city centre last night.

The PSNI told Newry Times that the man suffered very minor injuries to his neck and arm as a result of the shooting in Drumalane Park. It is believed the occupants of the house were sitting in the front room when the round was fired at the window at about 11.15pm.

Police would like to speak to the driver of a blue or silver Mitsubishi 4X4 who may have been in the area around the time of the shooting.

Detectives also want to hear from anyone who noticed unusual activity in the area at the time of incident.
