Sinn Féin Councillor Valerie Harte has called for members of the public with any information regarding a burglary at Altnaveigh Park in the early hours of Tuesday 10th July to come forward. Speaking to Newry Times, Councillor Harte said, “I have been made aware that thieves broke into this house while the occupants slept and made off with a laptop, digital camera, garden machinery and a sum of cash. I have every sympathy with the victims of this crime, it is a worrying and frightening experience to go through.” She added, “I appeal to anyone who may have seen anything untoward in the area to report this to the police.”
