Hospice Staff Give 369 Years of Service
Management and staff at the Southern Area Hospice recently paid tribute to 13 employees who have each dedicated over 20 plus years of service to the hospice, accumulating to an incredible 369 years!
The Long Service Awards Party was held in the Hospice on Friday 15th June, where presentations were made to each of the staff members who have dedicated at least 20 years of service to the hospice, some of whom had given as many as thirty to forty years.
Patricia Deane, HR Manager for SAHS, said, “We are delighted to celebrate these awards for all the staff involved. I think it’s a truly remarkable reflection on the organisation and the importance of the work we do that so many of our staff stay for so long. Our patients can only benefit from such a dedicated, loyal and compassionate workforce and we hope that our staff will continue to enjoy working here for many years to come.”
Southern Area Hospice Services (SAHS) provides invaluable support and care to people living within the Southern Trust Area, who are suffering from Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and AIDS. The aim is to provide the best quality of life for patients and their families. All services are provided free of charge and SAHS rely heavily on voluntary donations to continue providing their special care.
