Peter and Caitriona at Derryleckagh Road - Bridge Road Junction

Sinn Féin MLA Caitriona Ruane has welcomed the work carried out on the B7 Bridge Road junction / Derryleckagh Road, Burren to improve visibility at a dangerous junction. Speaking to Newry Times, Ruane stated, “There has been a problem for years when vehicles exiting the Bridge Road had no view of traffic coming along the Derryleckagh Road. This dangerous obstruction has now been rectified by the realignment of the carriageway providing visibility for all drivers at this junction.” “I would like to thank the DRD Road Service for the work that they have so far carried out and look forward to it being completed in the near future.” She added, “This move will greatly improve the safety on this stretch of roadway and allow traffic to flow more freely therefore easing congestion in the area.”
