SDLP South Down MLA Seán Rogers has attended a breakfast event to promote local business in Down District. The event in Downpatrick marked the start of Down District Council’s Business Week, which runs throughout this week. The keynote speaker was Stephen Magorrian of Botanic Inns Ltd. Speaking afterwards, Rogers said: “I was delighted to attend this event as helping to support local business is one of the most important aspects of my work and one of which I am very proud. Stephen Magorrian was a truly inspirational keynote speaker, placing the emphasis firmly on people as the means to building business and making the right investment in staff as well as your customer base.” Rogers added, “The SDLP were well-represented and renewed our commitment to job creation and prosperity. I will continue to spread the word about the high quality of South Down businesses and the investment they make to our local communities and markets far beyond our shores.”
