Weekend of crime in Newry prompts Police investigation

Police in Newry are investigating a number of incidents of criminal damage and theft that occurred overnight on Saturday night, 12th May.

It was reported to Police that the windows of two cars were smashed in the Carlingford Park and Toragh Park areas and the window of a car was smashed and a leather jacket stolen in the Oaklands area.

Police have asked anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact police in Newry on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
