Cross- border support for Narrow Water Bridge

On Saturday last, representatives of business from both sides of Carlingford Lough – led by Warrenpoint, Burren, Rostrevor Chamber of Commerce, community representatives and political representatives from Westminster, the Assembly and Newry and Mourne District Council and councillors from Louth County Council – gathered at Narrow water to launch their petition.

The Narrow Water Campaign Group has formed to make the Narrow Water Bridge project a main focus. The representatives moved into Warrenpoint to encourage shoppers and visitors to sign their petition to support the building of the bridge. The petition will be launched in Omeath on Saturday 5th May and then to villages and communities along both sides of the Lough to Kilkeel and Carlingford.

The petition can also be signed in business throughout the area.
