Bed Newry celebrates beating ‘stiff competition’ to host UK chart sensation JLS

UK Chart sensation JLS are coming to Newry this weekend. The former X Factor contestants are set for Bed night club on Francis Street for promises to be a memorable night on Saturday.

The booking for Bed is a remarkable achievement, having beaten “stiff competition” from clubs throughout Northern Ireland in hosting the after party for the group’s 4D tour. The boy band themselves took to Twitter to announce the news to their fans saying, “Don’t forget we are at BED in Newry this Saturday in Ireland as well! Huge weekend!”

Speaking to Newry Times about the event, a spokeswoman for Bed said, “We are all extremely excited that JLS have chosen B.E.D in Newry to host their official after party from their 4D Tour. Despite stiff competition from nightclubs across N.Ireland, one look at our luxurious VIP area they knew it was the place to go! We feel honoured that in times of economic woe we are able to attract international artists of this calibre to our city and the subsequent trade that will be brought to the whole of Newry on Saturday is a welcome bonus! ”

The spokeswoman also spoke of the opportunity for fans to meet JLS, something which is unheard of at concerts, “JLS themselves have taken to twitter to remind fans of their imminent arrival and can’t wait for the massive weekend ahead of them in B.E.D Newry! Not only will they be taking to the decks on Saturday night, they are also due to do a meet and greet with their fans, something which is unheard of in concert venues!”

She concluded by thanking local businesses in Newry for their support, “We would like to take this opportunity to thank those that have rallied round to help us prepare for this mammoth occasion in such a small time frame, in particular BJ McNally’s for working late on Tuesday to ensure that the advertising material would go out on time and all of the local businesses that have happily displayed our ads, it hasn’t gone unnoticed! Finally we would like to remind everyone that the doors will open extremely early as massive crowds are expected, it is a strictly over 18’s event, authentic id is essential, R.O.A.R.”
