Information sought after Francis Street assault

The assault happened in the Francis Street area of Newry

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in the Francis Street area. Some time between 1.45am and 2am on Sunday, 4th March, an 18 year old male was assaulted by another male. The victim sustained injuries to his face which required medical treatment.

The assailant is described as being around 19 or 20 years old, 5ft 9in tall, of medium to stout build with ginger/strawberry blonde hair. He was wearing a blue, hooded top with a pattern on the front.
