Pensioner dies after Armagh Road car crash

A 70 year old man died last night after a one vehicle road accident on the Armagh Road in Newry. The accident was reported in the early hours of Saturday morning and the man was taken to Daisy Hill Hospital where he died a short time later. No-one else was involved in the accident. Speaking to Newry Times, a PSNI spokesman said, “Police received a report of a one vehicle road traffic collision on the Armagh Road, Newry, at approximately 12.25am on the morning of Saturday 3rd March. One man aged 70 was taken to hospital for treatment but died a while later. No-one else was involved or injured.”
