Hospice fundraising event set for Hilltown
The Southern Area Hospice is set to benefit from a stock judging event at Hilltown Saleyard on Friday the 9th March. The event, which starts at 8pm, has been jointly organised by Castlewellan Blackface Sheep Breeders and Mourne Sheep Breeders.
The Southern Area Hospice Services serves the entire Southern Health Board Region and operates 24 hours a day throughout the year. The service is provided for those living in Newry & Mourne as well as those in Craigavon, Banbridge, Portadown, Armagh and Dungannon. The hospice provides free services to it’s patients and patient’s familes, such as:
- 12-bedded in-patient unit
- Out-patients clinics at Craigavon, South Tyrone and Daisy Hill Hospitals as well as St. John’s House, Newry.
- Home Care
- Day-Hospice at St. John’s House Newry and South Tyrone Hospital
- Hospital Specialist Palliative Care Team
- Social Work Team
- Bereavement Counselling
- Chaplaincy Service
- Complimentary Therapies
- Patient Helpline
- The Donaldson Centre
