Soccer event raises money for Anthony Nolan charity
The Nan Rices Celtic Supporters Club has given a cheque of £1166.76 to representatives from the Anthony Nolan Trust. The Anthony Nolan Trust is a charity which aims to save the lives of people with blood cancer. Every day the charity matches donors willing to donate their blood stem cells to people who desperately need life saving transplants.
The Nan Rices Celtic Supporters Club raised the money by hosting a charity soccer match at the Three Ways pitch on the 8th January this year. Pictured above is Mayor Charlie Casey and Newry & Mourne Councillor Valerie Harte. Also pictured are representatives from the supporters club and two representatives from the Anthony Nolan Trust.
