Ballymartin GAC, club news and events – 7th February

Ballymartin Dinner Dance is set for 11 February 2012, and is to be held in Diamond Pats. If you haven’t already got your tickets you can get them from Committee members or from the Ballymartin Inn. Tickets are £20 with entertainment from ‘Goldrush’.

The Down GAA Coaching and Games Committee will be holding a Level 1 Child Course: Hurling & Football in St. John’s GAC on 24/25th Feb & 2/3rd March 2012. The Above course is aimed at coaches of players aged 6 – 12 years. Coaches wishing to attend must have completed a Foundation Level Coaching Award & GAA Child Protection Course. Please contact the YouthOfficer@BallymartinGAA.com.

All ladies that intend playing for any of the Ballymartin teams must have their Registration details completed immediately, especially if they were not registered last year. Please contact Paddy, Claire, Liam or P.J. for registration details.

Down GAA Schools draw for 2012 was launched on Thursday 26th January. Tickets cost £2.00, with £1.00 going straight back to school funds. This gives the schools in DOWN a chance to raise funds. Please support the Down GAA Schools Draw.

Congratulations to the Down team on a successful conclusion to their first round on the NFL: Down 1-10 Donegal 1-09.

Ballymartin Community Youth Club on Sunday 5 February 2012

A group of 30 boys and girls that attended the Indian Community Centre in Belfast on Friday night. This was part of the SELB’s Cultural Awareness Programme. The boys and girls had a great time learning about the Indian culture and tasting their different foods.

The SELB are running a ‘team challenge’ event on Tuesday 21st February, aged 14+, if you are interested in representing Ballymartin Community Youth Club, please let us know on Friday night.

The ‘Y factor’ talent show (opened to both primary & secondary school age Children), will be taking place in JIMS on Tuesday 28th February, anyone interested in singing, poem telling, dancing, playing an instrument etc. please let us know. More details to follow!!!

Youth club as normal this week – card making, top hats & bun decorating for Valentine’s day.
